On sem 3 modules
Let me pass, just let me pass the exams...
Yesh, this sem, I was very 'out of tune'.
Spent most of my time this sem: thinking, playing, laughing, loving, meeting, working, anything but studying statistics or pharm laws.
Dosage Form Design
Learn how to make drugs (in their many dosage forms) in theory and in practical. Veryyyy high expectations. We must memorise many details about many chemicals, bcoz it's much more efficient and safer to have all the info at our finger tips (when we work as pharmacist).
Pharmacy Laws
One of the 2 lecturers didn't pass pharmacy law exams more than 1 time (forgot how many). This module makes me so much more aware abt laws in singapore and abt pharmacy laws (of course lar ya). But, this is not necessary to be a module. All everybody does is mug and memorise e laws. The laws are real laws, with all e linguistic nuances, long sentences, unending references, 500 pages more of it, double-side, small fonts, single line spacing. Okay... the bottom line is: an ultimate hassle.
Pharmacostats
I dun like, i dun like. All we do is memorise the statistical tests, the conditions to which they apply, the limitations etc. And, no reasoning of any sorts. When I ask e lecturer, all he said only: it's like that (and that sorts of 'i cannot explain either'). So yeah, this module is a hassle as well. Anybody can just enter the data in any stats program, and wait for e program to churn out the mean, the probability, the variance etc.
The exam is hilarious. I cannot answer most. I didn't even read finish the lecture notes, or read up all the necessary stats tests.
How Technology Work
How stuffs work website and internet is my most useful companion for this module. Learnt a lot deal more abt electricity and basically just how tech works. But i'm still amazed by my dad. He is a real electrician cum repairman. He fixed everything @ home, from water pump to TV to air con etc, and he didn't read internet that often, well, natural talent. I love playing with stuffs also, opening up, messing e wiring, fixing e faults, seeing the stuffs working properly again, it's such a JOY.
Emerging Global Politics
Useful module. I learnt a lot of history, philosophy and politics. Scary in a sense, coz I'm so new to all these (no prior exposure, other than own's idle thoughts).
I did 'Religi0n in Gl0bal p0litics' as my final research paper. Religious values are becoming more strongly expressed in secularized world. Agree? concur...
Islam and the Contemp0rary Muslim S0ciety
Very interesting. I likeee... It makes me so much more aware on the importance of having faith and of being open to anything. I did a study on Muhammadiyah n Nahdlatul Ulama for final paper.
